ABOUT ME

Wayne started his career as a dancer in 1979 with the world famous 2nd Generation, performing all over the world. In 1983 he joined the cast of Cats in London where he spent three years playing the lead role of Mr Mistoffolees. Following this, he appeared in various West End shows including Song and Dance, Anything Goes, Chess ( Original cast ), Bits and pieces and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium.

Whilst performing Wayne also started choreographing shows for both, theatre and TV. Credits include TFI Friday, Royal Variety Show for Her Majesty the Queen.

The Biz, Maid Marion and Return of the Psammiad all for the BBC.

 

After finishing his performing career Wayne was invited to be Resident Director on Andrew Lloyd Weber shows, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat in the West End.

In the year 2000 Wayne was the Artistic Director of the Millenium Dome Show to celebrate the Millenium for UK celebration. Also in this year due to his skills in Dance, Acrobatics, singing and Acting he was employed as Artistic Director of the famous show out of France Notre Dame de Paris where he has Directed the show in nine different languages. 

Whilst working with NDP, at the request of the producer Mr Talar ,Wayne wrote, directed and choreographed childrens shows. Three shows over nine years with Oui Oui and Friends and Dora the Explora.

 

Other shows directed are Butterflies, 1st premiered in Dongguan to great acclaim from the Chinese critics. Dorian Gray at the Famous Fenice Theatre Venice.

 

In 2010 he was invited by Norman Latourelle, the owner of Cavalia to be involved in their new show Odysseo.

Wayne devised, directed and choreographed the show which opened in October 2011 and has been touring North America for eight years. It is the largest touring show in the world.

Whilst working on NDP Italian version he worked with Fabrizio Voghera and there he was introduced to his idea of the show Othello. Spending ten years working on the project in their spare time, the dream was finally realised in 2018 . 

This project is closest to his heart, seeing something they put together with Francesco Antimiarni rise to the stage and be everything they hoped and wished it would be.
